Pastor

All Saints Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking to call a third Pastor to serve alongside Steve Jeffery and Geoff Shaw. The successful candidate will be a highly competent generalist, able and willing to serve in a variety of ways, and ready to commit to a long-term call. Initially, the role will involve a fairly light preaching load as part of a three-man pastoral team, with other significant pastoral and teaching responsibilities within our rapidly growing congregation of over 300 members. In the future, the role may develop to include opportunities for church planting, as we seek to plant churches across the Dallas / Fort Worth area in years to come.
Other specific requirements include:

Character and godliness

An established reputation for personal holiness; a history of faithful, peaceable, and sacrificial Christian service; clearly demonstrable faithfulness as a husband and father; a man of prayer; a hospitable family man; a track record of financial responsibility.

Training and experience

Formal theological training to M.Div. level (or equivalent informal theological study), and at least five years’ experience in pastoral ministry, including regular preaching, teaching, pastoral counselling, and leading worship.

Theological convictions

Theological commitments must be in accord with our confessional statements (WCF and TFU), and with the distinctive liturgical and theological commitments of the CREC (including paedocommunion, Christian education, and an optimistic eschatology).

Work ethic and teamwork

Proven capacity for sustained hard work; high level of personal organization and efficiency; the ability to contribute with insight and clarity in group discussion, and to function well as a team player alongside other Pastors, Elders, Deacons, and church members.

Preaching and teaching

Demonstrable excellence in preaching and teaching the word of God in public contexts, and unwavering commitment to the centrality of such teaching in promoting Christian maturity.

Pastoral counselling

Significant experience in handling complex pastoral situations with Biblical insight, wisdom, and sensitivity; easily able to get on with many different kinds of people.

Leadership

Track record of Christian leadership guided by Biblical principle, with proven capacity to lead towards unity without compromise.

Philosophy of ministry

Wholehearted commitment to promoting Christian maturation through regular corporate worship, faithful proclamation of God’s word, sacrificial service, and the cultivation of a Christian culture in church and home; careful avoidance of unnecessary disputes with other believers; desire to draw unbelievers to Christ by manifesting his love and righteousness; no desire to cultivate a personal social media following.

The call is full-time and will be compensated generously. Interested applicants should send a resume and covering letter, including a list of references, to session@allsaintskirk.org.
